Lois was born on 18 January 1876. She was the daughter of
Robert Cornelius Knox and
Elizabeth "Lizzy" Densmore McCain. She married
Charles Holcomb Blakely on 20 December 1893. Lois Anna Knox died on 5 April 1940 at age 64. She was buried on 7 April 1940 at
Oakland Cemetery, Monticello, Drew Co., Arkansas. She was New Tag Obituary from an unknown newspaper:

Mrs. Charles H. Blakely, died in a Little Rock hospital Friday, follwing an illness of about two months duration.
She was born Lois Knox, daughter of the late Elizabeth and R.C. Knox, who were prominent citizens of the section, January 17, 1876 in the Rock Springs community where she had spent her entire life.
In 1893 she was married to Charles H. Blakely, who survives her.
She was a member of the Rock Springs Methodist Church and was most active in Sunday School and Church work. She was one of the most active members of her Home Demonstration Club and in all other projects which were for the betterment of the community in which she lived.
Mrs. Blakely was a leader and one whose innumberable kindnesses to those less fortunate than she have won her the universal admiration of her friends. The good that she has done in her sixty-four years of life will stand as a monument to her for many a year.
Besides her husband, one brother, George A. Knox of Harrisburg, Ark; two sisters, Mrs. J.E. Shell of Monticello, and Mrs. Ashley Bell of Sheridan also survive.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the Stephenson Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. J.M. Hamilton of Monticello, and Rev. J.R. Sewell of Wilmar, and burial was in Oakland Cemetery."
