"Mrs. Elizabeth Knox
The many friends of Mrs. Elizabeth Knox, beloved consort of Judge R.C. Knox, will regret to learn of her death which occurred at her home in this city at two o'clock Saturday morning, age fifty-eight. Her illness was short but severe, and the family realized Friday morning that the end was rapidly approaching, and sorrowfully awaited the blow which was to deprive them of their chiefest treasure.
The funeral took place from the family residence Saturday afternoon at half past three, and the remains were interred in the New Cemetery after a touching tribute to her memory at the grave by the Rev. E.P. Kennedy of the Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Knox was one of Drew county's noblest women, and while the public knew little of her, the good she did in a quiet way will prove a lasting monument to her memory.
The Advance unites with many others in extending sincere sympathy to those who feel her loss most keenly - Advance.
Judge Knox and family have our sincere condolence in the loss of this noble wife and mother."
