     Michael Miller was born at Germany. He immigrated before 14 February 1749; Michael Miller, a blind basketmaker, came to America from Alsace, Germany sometime before February 14, 1749, settling in Frederick Co., Maryland, purchasing some property and patenting three tracts from the State of Maryland. He died before 29 October 1792.

"Mickey" Miller died on 10 April 1999 at Hellam Twp., York Co., Pennsylvania, at age 49; Mickey died at the home of her sister. She was New Tag From the 12 April 1999 "York Daily Record" comes the following obituary:

"Williamsport - Michelle M. 'Mickey' D'Urso, 49, of Williamsport, died Saturday at the home of her sister in Hellam Township.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Pisgah Trinity United Methodist Church, 5615 Mount Pisgah Road, Hellam Township. Burial will be in Stoverstown Cemetery.

There will be no viewing. The Etzweiler Funeral Home, 1111 E. Market St., York, is in charge of arrangements.

Miss D'Urso was born Oct. 21, 1949, in York. She was the daughter of the late Gary L. and Grace E. (Senft) Miller. She was the stepdaughter of June R. (Senft) Miller of York.

She was a special education elementary school teacher for Ashkar Elementary School in Hughesville. She was a member of Pennsylvania State Education Association and National Education Association, and a 1967 graduate of William Penn Senior School and graduate of Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania.

Miss D'Urso also is survived by a daughter, Jennifer D'Urso of Baltimore; two sisters, Carol J. "Tuppy" Dellinger of Hellam Township and Gloria M. "Peachie" Sheppard of Atlanta; and neices and nephews.

Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Richard Bowers, pastor of Mount Pisgah Trinity United Methodist Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to White Rose Hospice, 2870 Eastern Blvd., York 17402; or to Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Lycoming County, 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport 17701. On 12 April 1999 at York, York Co., Pennsylvania.
