Mary was born at
Chester Co., South Carolina, on 26 July 1815. She was the daughter of
David Moffett and
Mary "Mollie" Strong. She married
Samuel Harbison before May 1835. Mary was listed as a household member living with
Samuel Harbison on the 1850 Census at
Richland Twp., Monroe Co., Indiana. Mary was listed as the head of a family on the 1860 Census at
Richland Twp., Monroe Co., Indiana. Mary was listed as the head of a family on the 1870 Census at
Richland Twp., Monroe Co., Indiana. Mary died on 10 November 1873 at
Monroe Co., Indiana, at age 58. Her body was interred in November 1873 at
Bloomington, Monroe Co., Indiana, at United Presbyterian Cemetery.
