William died in 1916 at Somonauk Twp., DeKalb Co., Illinois. His body was interred in 1916 at Somonauk Twp., DeKalb Co., Illinois, at Oak Mound Cemetery. The cemetery is located at the corner of C.R. 1370 E and 550 N, and within a half mile west of Samonauk United Presbyterian Church..
