"Ellsworth G. Myers, 61, of Manchester Township, died Wednesday at his home. He was the husband of Judith A. (Smith) Myers.
The service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Wm. J. Workinger Funeral Home Inc., 849 E. Market St., York. Burial will be in St. Jacob's Union Cemetery, York New Salem. Viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Myers was born in York. He was the son of Almeda J. (Dellinger) Myers of Dover, and of the late Leonard S. Myers.
He retired as a tool and diemaker after 40 years of employment with GTE Sylvania of York. He was a member of the firm's 25-Year Club, of Loyal Order of Moose York Lodge 148, of Fraternal Order of Eagles Carlisle Aerie 1299, of Veterans of Foreign Wars West York Post 8951, and of the 13th Ward Political Club. He was a West York Area High School graduate.
Mr. Myers also is survived by two daughters, Janetta Richards of Columbia, and Sharon Myers of Abbottstown; four granddaughters; a great-grandson; three brothers, Dennis L. Myers of York, Gene F. Myers of Codorus, and Ronald R. Myers of York; and a sister Sondra J. Chatterton of Dover. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jane Myers.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Charles I. Hull, pastor of Christ United Church of Christ, Jefferson.
