Valentin Erasmus Nicodemus immigrated on 1 November 1763 to Philadelphia, Philadelphia Co., Pennsylvania; Valentin immigrated to Philadelphia aboard the ship "Chance", arriving on 1 Nov. 1763. He was Valentin took up the ministry and served many Reformed Congregations as well as many Lutheran Congregations in the Maryland and Northern Neck area of Virginia. He married Catharine (?). Valentin Erasmus Nicodemus married Elizabeth (?). Valentin Erasmus Nicodemus died on 18 June 1812 at age 80. He was buried in June 1812 at Silver Run Cemetery, Carroll Co., Maryland.
