Leo Merle Parsons was born on 22 June 1911 at
Monticello, White Co., Indiana. He was the son of
Jesse W. Parsons and
Josie M. Mohler. Leo Merle Parsons married
Evalyn Otta Fisher, daughter of
Guy Fisher and
Mae Hoover, on 28 June 1935. Leo Merle Parsons died on 4 January 1989 at
Mishawaka, St. Joseph Co., Indiana, at age 77. He was New Tag Obituary from the South Bend Tribune on Jan. 5, 1989:
"Leo M. Parsons
Leo M. "Bill" Parsons, 77 of 19595 Lucinda St., died ata 9:05 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Hospital, Mishawaka, after an illness. Mr. Parsons was born June 22, 1911 in Monticello, Ind. He moved to South Bend from Argos in 1921. He was employed at the Studebaker Corp. for 33 years and then worked for 10 years at Richardson Mobile Homes, Elkhart. On June 28, 1935, in Mishawaka, he married Evalyn O. Fisher. She survives with a son, Paul D. of Marion, Iowa; three grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Walton of Bradenton, Fla., and Violet Teeter of Holmes Beach, Fla; and two brothers Fred of Bradenton and Don of South Bend.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Bubb Funeral Chapel, Mishawaka. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home. Mr. Parsons was a member of the Milburn Boulevard Church of Christ, Mishawaka, and the Free and Accepted Masons, Mishawaka Lodge 130. Memorial contributions may be made to the church."
