John was born at
Baltimore, Baltimore Co., Maryland, on 1 January 1794. He was the son of
Frederick Prugh and
Catherine Baile. He married
Rebecca Nicodemus at
Baltimore, Baltimore Co., Maryland, on 27 April 1821. John F. Prugh was migration at
Preble Co., Ohio; From "History of Greene Co., Ohio - Its People, Industries and Institutions, Vol II" by M.A. Broadstone, 1918. page 584. "John F. and Rebecca (Nicodemus) Prugh came to Ohio from Maryland. They first settled in Preble Co. before moving to Montgomery Co. John F. Prugh operated a mill and owned 300 - 400 acres. Originally Methodists, but later affiliated with the Reformed Church near their home." John was listed as the head of a family on the 1860 Census at
Washington Twp., Montgomery Co., Ohio. John died on 24 October 1879 at
Montgomery Co., Ohio, at age 85. His body was interred in October 1879 at
Kettering, Montgomery Co., Ohio, at David's Cemetery. Old Section 1 is the far north part of the cemetery.
