Her body was interred in August 1890 at Bloomington, Monroe Co., Indiana, at Rose Hill Cemetery. Clipping from the Bloomington Telephone, Tuesday August 12, 1890.

"Mrs. J.W. Shigley, living east of town, was buried from the Methodist church Sunday afternoon. Rev. W.R. Halstead having charge of the ceremonies. Mrs. Shigley died in her 39th year, and was a true christian woman, and though she had only been a resident of Monroe county for a short time, she won the admiration and respect of all who knew her.".

     William was born at Hensley On Thomas, Oxford, England, in 1653. He married Grace Wyron at England on 7 July 1673. William immigrated, in 1683. Destination: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was land contract on 2 April 1683 at Pennsylvania; On 2 April 1683 William obtained a Lease/Release for a plot of land in William Penn's grant of land from the King. That transaction listed William's address as Henley on Thames in the county of Oxen and his occupation as hairweaver.

He married Elizabeth Willis. William Rakestraw married Elizabeth Archer on 4 May 1705 at Philadelphia Co., Pennsylvania. William died on 5 January 1718 at Philadelphia, Philadelphia Co., Pennsylvania.
