George Benjamin Hartley's wife on the 1880 Census at
Pipe Creek Twp., Madison Co., Indiana. Emily was listed as
George Benjamin Hartley's wife on the 1900 Census at
Pipe Creek Twp., Madison Co., Indiana. Emily died on 14 February 1926 at
Elwood, Madison Co., Indiana, at age 73. She was New Tag Emma O. Hartley, formerly Emma Roach, b. Mar 25, 1852, d. Feb 14, 1926 at age of 72 yrs, 11 mo, 19 days. Married George B. Hartley Oct 5, 1871. Eleven children, four preceded in death. Seven survivors are: John of Frankton; Wade B. of Detroit; Floyd of Aroma; Wayne of Elwood; Jerome of Alexandria; Mrs Katie Fesler of Frankton; and Mrs. Grace Waymire of near Frankton. Member of the Methodist Church. In February 1926. Her body was interred in February 1926 at
Frankton, Madison Co., Indiana, at Sigler Cemetery.
