John Roberts was born in 1648 at

Gainor Roberts immigrated in 1683; John Roberts came to American from Wales in 1683. He was 35 years old. He arrived aboard a ship captained by Hugh Roberts, who is said to be no relation. Also aboard were John's brother, Richard, and sister, Anne. Another passenger was Gainor Roberts, sister of Captain Hugh Roberts. After landing in Pennsylvania, John Roberts married Gainor Roberts. Philadelphia Co., Pennsylvania; John and Gainor both came to America with deeds to property around Merion, Pennsylvania. It was there that John established his farm which he called Pencoyd. He was a malster by trade. He was buried in 1724 at
Merion Meeting Cemetery, Narbeth, Philadelphia Co., Pennsylvania. He died in 1724 at
Pennsylvania.
