Emma was born at Indiana on 14 July 1861. She was the daughter of James Sample and Louisa (?). Emma died on 1 July 1900 at age 38.

BURIED: United Presbyterian or a.k.a. White Oak Cemetery. His body was interred at Bloomington, Monroe Co., Indiana. Hugh was born at Ireland in 1826. He was the son of William Sample and Esther (?). Hugh was listed as the head of a family on the 1850 Census at Van Buren Twp., Monroe Co., Indiana. He married Margaret Junkin at Monroe Co., Indiana, on 27 December 1860.
