     Nancy "Nannie" Belle Simon was born on 4 November 1874 at Meadville, Linn Co., Missouri. She was the daughter of Jacob E. Simon and Frances Curl. Nancy "Nannie" Belle Simon married Avery "Arch" Preston. Nancy "Nannie" Belle Simon married Harry Blackburn. Grace and Nannie lived 3 blocks away from one another but did not speak to each other for the last 40 years of their lives. They both ended up in the same nursing home, but sill continued to avoid one another. Nancy "Nannie" Belle Simon died in December 1971 at Carterville, Jasper Co., Missouri, at age 97.

     Stella G. Simon was born on 7 June 1877. She was the daughter of Jacob E. Simon and Frances Curl. Stella G. Simon died on 18 September 1879 at age 2; Stella became ill while the family was enroute to Jasper Co., Missouri via wagon. The family stopped, made camp and tended to her, houwever she died and is buried in an unmarked grave. Years later her parents had a tombstone made with the intention of placing it on her grave. However they did not get back to her grave site, so they placed the tombstone in the Oronogo, Missouri cemetery near the graves of two of Stella's sisters who are also buried there.
