Little River, Fairfield Co., South Carolina, at age 41. Obituary:
"Departed this life on Little River Fairfield District, S.C. on the morning of Friday, the 13th, instant, Mrs. Margaret Brice in the 42nd year of her age. The deceased had been an exemplary member of the Associated Reformed Church from early life. We believe she was of the true Israel of God. She was pious, prudent and sensible, and remarkable intelligent in the scripture. Having enjoyed the advantages of an early religious education herself, and having tested the sweets of religion, she was quite assiduous in her attention to her children (of whom she had many), that they might be brought up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. She excelled in family discipline, possessing a tact in the management of that department of household affairs which pertains to the mother and wife, which few of her sex possess, and yet all was mildness and gentleness in the absense of everything like austerity or rigidness. During her last illness, which was of seven weeks duration, she was not know to murmur under her afflictions. She expressed herself as not being afraid of the last enemy. She has left a husband and a large family of children. Their loss is sensibly felt.". Her body was interred in January 1843 at
Fairfield Co., South Carolina, at New Hope ARP Cemetery.
