Lulu M. Stevens was born on 14 May 1893 at
Lafayette, Tippecanoe Co., Indiana. She was the daughter of
William H. Stevens and
Alice Munger. She married
Lieutenant Jesse Albert Wood on 10 February 1918. Lulu M. Stevens died on 28 September 1992 at
Manchester, Maryland, at age 99. She was New Tag Obituary from the September 30, 1992 Carroll County Times:
"Lulu S. Wood, 99, of Manchester
Lulu Stevens Wood, 99, of Manchester, died Monday, Sept. 28, 1992, at the Long View Nursing Home, Manchester where she had been a resident for the past 2 1/2 years.
She was the wife of the late Jesse Albert Wood, who died in January 1987 and was the mother of the late John Wood and Jeanne Bell.
She lived most of her life in Shoals, Ind., moving to Westminster in 1982 and then moving to the nursing home in Manchester. She was a member of Shoals United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star of Shoals, Ind.
Surviving are her sister Harriet Bollinger (that should be Bellinger) of Tuscon, Ariz; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
There will be no public visitation.
Graveside services will be held in Erie Cemetery, Bedford, Ind. Funeral arrangements are by Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster."
On 30 September 1992. She was buried in 1992 at
Erie Cemetery, Bedford, Lawrence Co., Indiana.
