She married David Moffett at Chester Co., South Carolina, in 1809. Mary was listed as a member of a church at Associated Reformed, Bloomington, Monroe Co., Indiana, on 23 May 1835. She bought property at Monroe Co., Indiana, in 1835. Mary was listed as the head of a family on the 1840 Census at Monroe Co., Indiana. She made a will at Monroe Co., Indiana, on 7 June 1875. Mary died on 12 November 1875 at Monroe Co., Indiana, at age 84. Her body was interred in November 1875 at Bloomington, Monroe Co., Indiana, at United Presbyterian Cemetery. Her tombstone reads: "Mary, wife of David Moffett, died 12 Nov 1875 age 84ys, 6 ms, 23ds." She is buried right beside her daughter, Mary wife of Samuel Harbison. And about 2 rows to the west is her son Samuel Moffett and his wife Martha B. Strong.

My parents visited with Ethel on their trip to California in 1955. She lived in Sherman Oaks. On this trip she gave my mom a crocheted bed spread. Mary died on 27 December 1966 at age 88.
