Milton Jacob Tome was born circa 1895. He was the son of
Andrew Tome. He married
Nora M. Dellinger. Milton Jacob Tome died on 19 August 1940 at
York, York Co., Pennsylvania. He was New Tag Obituary from a 19 August 1940 York newspaper:
"Milton Jacob Tome
Milton Jacob Tome, 620 West Broadway, died at 3:30 o'clock this afternoon at the York hospital where he had been admitted as a patient shortly before noon. Mr. Tome was stricken Friday night. He was 45 years old.
Mr. Tome was a member of Bethany United Brethren church, the local I.O.O.F. lodge and the Red Lion post of the American Legion. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Nora May Dellinger Tome; two daughters Kathryn and Phyllis, at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Tome, her; a brother, Grover F. Tome, Danville, Va., and one sister, Mrs. J.E. Seeger, Enola.
The funeral will be held Wednesday with brief services at the home at 2 p.m. (DST) and further services at Bethany U.B. church. Rev. M.R. Fleming, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be made in St. Luke's Lutheran cemetery, New Bridgeville. Funeral Director Earl B. Burg has charge of arrangements."
