Dorothy Wire was the daughter of
Solomon Wire and
Ella Gingerich. She married
Edward T. Dellinger. Dorothy Wire died on 7 July at

"Mrs. Edward T. Dellinger
EAST PROSPECT, July 8 - Mrs. Dorothy W. Wire, 61, wife of Edward T. (Epp) Dellinger, this place, died at 8 a.m. yesterday at York Hospital after an illness of two years.
Mrs. Dellinger, a daughter of Solomon Wire, Miami, Fla., and the late Mrs. Ella Gingerich Wire, was a teller at East Prospect State Bank for 11 years prior to 1849. She was a patient at the hospital for seven days prior to her death.
Mrs. Dellinger belonged to Zion United Methodist Church and Sunday school, this place, and the Women's Society of Christian Service. Besides her husband and father, she leaves a brother and two sisters, Carroll Wire and Mrs. Herbert Anderson, both of Hollywood, Fla., and Mrs. Gladys Shilt, Dallas, Tex; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Tressa Young, Red Lion R.D. 2; a step-grandson and a step great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Burg Funeral Home, 134 West Broadway, Red Lion, by her pastor, the Rev. M.O. Mickey. Interment will be in Freysville Cemetery."
