Theophilus Wylie Woodburn (M)

Theophilus was born at
Monroe Co., Indiana, on 11 February 1852. He was the son of
James B. Woodburn and
Martha Jane Hemphill. Theophilus Wylie Woodburn was Upon his father’s death, Theophilus went to work as a printer while still a boy, starting at the “Republican Progress” in Bloomington. In 1876 he moved to Minnesota and spent most of his life in the small towns of Atwater and Benson as a publisher and editor.
Circa 1865. He married
Ella Lowell at
Fond du Luc, Fond du Luc Co., Wisconsin, on 23 June 1887. Theophilus died on 12 July 1912 at
Benton, Butler Co., Kansas, at age 60.

William Logan Woodburn (M)

Pop-up Pedigree William was born at
Monroe Co., Indiana, on 20 November 1882. He was the son of
Thomas Craig Woodburn and
Sarah Logan. He married
Clara Belle Applegate at
Rushville, Rush Co., Indiana, on 6 March 1912. William Logan Woodburn was William Logan Woodburn became a scholarly botanist, receiving degrees (A.B., A.M., Ph.D.) from Indiana University. At his untimely death at the age of 39 he was Assistant Professor of Botany at Northwestern University giving promise of growth and promotion in his profession. He was an elder and active worker in the United Presbyterian Church, a thoroughly good Christian man and very useful in his church and college. At
Northwestern University, Evanston, Lake Co., Illinois. William died on 4 March 1922 at
Evanston, Lake Co., Illinois, at age 39. His body was interred in March 1922 at
Bloomington, Monroe Co., Indiana, at United Presbyterian Cemetery.
