Samuel was born at
South Carolina in 1782. He was the son of
Francis Wylie and
Agnes Hamilton. He married
Martha Curry. Samuel Wylie was census 1840 in 1840 at
Monroe Co., Indiana; In the 1840 census for Monroe Co., Indiana the following family is found with Samuel Wylie as the head of household:
1 male age 10-15, 1 male, age 15-20, 2 males ages 20-30, 1 male age 50-60
2 females ages 5-10, 1 female age 10-15, 2 females 15-20, 1 female age 50-60. He married
Agnes Nancy (?). Samuel was listed as the head of a family on the 1850 Census at
Perry Twp., Monroe Co., Indiana. Samuel died on 3 November 1860 at
Monroe Co., Indiana. His body was interred in November 1860 at
Bloomington, Monroe Co., Indiana, at United Presbyterian Cemetery.
