Emma Catherine Zeigler was born circa 1901 at
Shippensburg, Cumberland Co., Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of
Isaac M. Zeigler and
Rose Sheaffer. Emma Catherine Zeigler married
Paul William Dellinger, son of
David Dellinger and
Mary Etta Ile. Emma Catherine Zeigler died on 16 April 1993 at
Gettysburg, Adams Co., Pennsylvania. She was New Tag Obituary from a 17 April 1993 newspaper:
"Emma C. Dellinger
GETTYSBURG - Emma C. Zeigler Dellinger, 92, of 460 Red Bridge Road, Gettysburg, died at the Brethren Home, New Oxford, Friday morning, April 16, 1993. She was the wife of Paul W. Dellinger, who died April 24, 1975.
She was born in Shippensburg, the daughter of the late Isaac M. and Rose Sheaffer Zeigler. She was a member of St. Paul's (The Pines) Lutheran Church in New Chester.
She is survived by eight daughters, Violet M. Warrenfeltz of Littlestown, Brunetta L. Sibert, Esther P. Walker and Betty J. Rhodes, all of New Oxford, Vivian A. Knox of Gettysburg, Virginia L. Swartz of Shippensburg, Beverly A. Walker of Pleasant Gap and Dolores J. Walker of Gettysburg; four sons, Paul W. Dellinger, Jr and Gerald D. Dellinger, both of Gettysburg, Wayne R. Dellinger of Carlisle and Ronald D. Dellinger of New Oxford, 38 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will he held Tuesday at 1 p.m. from St. Paul's (The Pines) Lutheran Church, New Chester, with her interim pastor, the Rev. John Fehringer and the Rev. Samuel Garrett, pastor of Bethel Assembly of God, Littlestown, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held Monday evening at the Feister Funeral Home, Inc., 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday at the church from noon until the time of service."
