"York - Donald E. Boyer, 59, of York, died at 1:06 a.m. Tuesday at York Hospital. He was the husband of Mae Jean (Mansberger) Boyer.
Viewing will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Wm. J. Workinger Funeral Home Inc., 849 E. Market St., York. Cremation will follow at Yorktowne Cremation Society.
Mr. Boyer was born April 18, 1936, in York. He was the son of the late David P. and Bessie M. (Seyler) Dunlap Sr.
He was employed as a driver at Graham Engineering for the past 25 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving with the 82nd Airborne Division during the Korean Conflict.
A member of Del-Phia Athletic Association, he belonged to Owl Social Club, 12th Ward Independent Democratic Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars White Rose Post 556 and American Legion Pleasureville Post 799.
Mr. Boyer also is survived by four children and two grandchildren living in North Carolina; three stepdaughters, Amber L. Dellinger of York, Selina R. Kuhns and Robin L. Bush, both of Wrightsville; a stepson, Willliam D. Mansberger of Wrightsville; two step-grandchildren; four sisters, Carol Smith of Red Lion, Anna Matson of Fawn Grove, Geraldine Corsa and Janet LaValley, both of York; four brothers, David Dunlap, Jr. of Alexandria, Va., Raymond Dunlap, Barry Dunlap and Dale Dunlap, all of York.
