The Western Front Association

Western Front Association

 

The Western Front Association (WFA) furthers interest in The Great War of 1914-1918.

It helps perpetuate the memory, courage and comradeship of all those, on all sides, who served their countries in France and Flanders, and at home, during The Great War.

The Association was established in 1980 by military historian John Giles. Today, the WFA has a worldwide membership of over 6,000 people.

The Leicestershire & Rutland Family History Society (LRFHS) furthers interest in family history research relating to the City of Leicester and the counties of Leicestershire and Rutland.

The Society has its own library, located in Leicester, which is free to use by society members. The library also has full internet access to a variety of resources, many of which relate to the study of military history and genealogy.
