I, John Haigh, the elder, of Inchfield, Pastureside in Hundersfield, yeoman, make this my last will.

I devise to my older son John Haigh my messuage and tenement called Pighill (otherwise Pexes) in Hundersfield with three cottages thereunto belonging in occupation of Charles Lord, Samuel Woodhead, John Ogden, and James Farrer, charged with payment of £100 to my daughter Mary, wife of James Hirst, and also with £100 to my younger son, Reuben Haigh, after the decease of Mary my wife, and still further charged with one annuity of four pound ten shillings to the said Mary my wife during her life.

 

I devise to my younger son Reuben Haigh my messuage and tenement called Degn in Hundersfield and concerning my personal estate I give to the said Mary my wife a Bed, Chest and the Great Bible.

 

To my said daughter Mary, wife of James Hirst, £22

 

All the residue of my personal estate I give to my said two sons and executors, John and Reuben Haigh
