With children Edgar & Winnie Sutcliffe, & nieces Gladys, Doris & Phyllis the daughters of her brother-in-law Albert Sutcliffe. Albert's first wife Alice Bancroft died age 27 in 1900, 6 days after giving birth to twins who also died. Albert also died young age 39 in Fielden Hospital of typhoid. His widow was sickly herself and they lived with Jabez and Annie who brought up the 3 girls as well as her own 2 children. Gladys died of pneumonia aged 11.
