Who
married at Newchurch in Rossendale on 22nd June 1831
To
his first wife
BETTY
The
Second Daughter and Co-heir of James Maden Esq.
Of
Greens House in the Forest of Rossendale and County of Lancaster
Who
was Born 23rd march 1803 and Died 19th February 1838
And
was Buried at Todmorden
Through
the grace of God she exemplified the virtues of a long life
In
her deportment and spirit were seen by all who knew her
The
Excellencies of a Friend, a Daughter, a Sister, a Wife and a Mother
Divine
Religion it is thine only to sustain solace and cheer
The
enfeebled suffering and dying
Prior
to her decease she witnessed the departure of her eldest child
ANN
Who
was Born 10th July 1832 and Died 11th September 1834
Also
ELIZA
Born
4th May and Died 13th July 1836
And
both were Buried at Todmorden
JAMES
TAYLOR
Her
only son who was Born at Todmorden 11th October 1833
Died
at Turre, Torquay, Devonshire 8th October 1848
And
was Buried there

sure and certain hope of a joyful resurrection"
