Contents: Encloses the cholera statistics and gives details of one case. Enclosed: Daily report of cholera cases in Sunderland, signed by Robert Dawn M.D.

Dr Dawn writing from the Central Board of Health to Dr Mahoney in Hull August 1831, concerning a cholera case of a Fusilier: "You will be good enough to make most explicit ... as to the habits of the soldier in question, the circumstances immediately preceding his illness". Dr Dawn later visited Hull and concluded that the soldier had been "living in debauchery".

John Robinson was indicted for stealing, on the 29th of May, in the dwelling-house of our Lord the King, a 5 l. Bank note, the property of James Dawn .

James Dawn. I am a medical officer, belonging to the 3d Dragoons, which were quartered at Hounslow barracks; I slept in the barracks, and was in the habit of leaving my keys in the table drawer of my room - my writing desk was in the same room. On the 10th of June, about ten o'clock in the morning, I went to the table drawer and took out my keys, and found I could not unlock the drawer of my writing desk, but upon pulling it it opened. I found it was unlocked; I had left it locked. I had left three 5 l. Bank notes there, and missed one. The prisoner was my servant...
