Tory's Genealogy and Family History Pages: LONG, CARPENTER, McEWIN, JEFFREY,

Tory's Genealogy and Family History Pages

Family history research has been my hobby for more than twenty-five years. My husband's early Texas ancestors in Lamar County, Texas, were the focus of my first efforts. The Wooldridge, Reynolds and McEwin histories came from those efforts.
My grandmother's maternal Long family has yielded the most exciting history. Her grandfather was born in 1845 in Texas. His great grandparents, Joseph Long and Catherine Foster, were born in 1770. They had nine children who are named in family Bible records. The discovery of that record confirmed years of work by a number of people. Sharing the data here is a pleasure. Family names which appear as links have material posted. Others are yet to come.
Some of these families are related to me only distantly, but material has been collected which I want to share. The families of JEFFREY, FOREMAN, FORTUNE, KELLEY , GILLILAND,and HARGIS are Caldwell County, Texas, folk who intermarried with the Longs. Other connected families include LAWLER, BRACKENRIDGE, and FULLER.
These pages are the best way for me to share all the wonderful old pictures from the Kelley and Hargis families.
These families are all included in my WorldConnect file which can be found at Tory's Treasures
