These are the few letters that we have that were written by Gordon to the folks back home.  Mom typed these up and I converted them to HTML format.

Some of the people and places mentioned:   Everett and Freeman were his brothers.  Roxy, Vera, Elta, and Dot were his sisters.  Coldbrook House was the boarding house and farm run by his parents.  Gordon loved the place and was very much looking forward to returning after the war.  He must have been very disappointed to find that the family had moved again while he was away in the army.

• Letter to Gordon's youngest sisters Elta (age 11) and Dorothy (age 8) dated June 10, 1918, Camp Wadsworth, South Carolina.

• Partial letter from Camp Wadsworth, South Carolina, dated July 8, 1918.  This was probably written to his sister Roxy, who would have been about 23 at the time.

• Letter to Gordon's brother Everett Van Kleeck dated October 18, 1918, somewhere in France.

• Letter to Gordon's brother Everett Van Kleeck dated November 1, 1918, somewhere in France.

• Partial letter from Gordon (pages 5 - 8, missing the beginning and end), probably sent near the end of the war from somewhere in Germany.
