  1. Grave of Daniel Van Luven Phoebe (Althiser) Van Leuvan Grave of Phoebe Althiser or Altheiser Van Leuvan  Daniel B. Van Luven/Van Luvan/Van Leuvan/Van Leuven (ca. 1825 - 1870) married Phebe/Phoebe Althiser/Altheiser (ca. 1830 - 1892).  Both are buried in Palentown Cemetery near the Van Kleeck family plot where their daughter Adaline (Van Leuvan) Van Kleeck is buried.  A better image of Phoebe's stone has been added to her Find-A-Grave page.

    6. Delilah Van Leuvan Delilah Van Leuvan Selah Terpening young? Selah Terpening Delilah Van Leuven (born ca. 1866 - died sometime between 1894 and 1900) married sometime in the 1880s to Selah Terpening (ca. 1863 - 1906), son of Solomon and Rachel Ann Terpening.  Selah and Delilah had three sons.  Selah later married ca. 1904 to Sarah Traver and they had a daughter, Beulah Wanetta Terpening (1904 - 1975).
      1. Selah Terpening, Jr. Selah Terpening, Jr. (born 1887 - died sometime between 1920 and 1930).  Removed to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Selah married in 1912 to Jennie J. Baldwin (1892 - 1977).  After her husband and sister Sarah died, Jennie and her son Arthur moved in with Selah's brother Chester and his daughters.
        1. Sarah Terpening (stillborn - 1914)
        2. Arthur M. Terpening (born 1916).  Army veteran - World War II.
      2. Lamont Terpening Moncenia Terpening (1892 - 1932).  Lived in Poughkeepsie with his family, who seem to have stayed in Dutchess county.  According to the cousin who generously shared these family photos, the name on the back of the baby photo is "Lamont".  His marriage record gives his name as "Montcenia" and his daughter Barbara's obituary spells it "Moncenia". He is also listed as Mont, Mont C. or Monseaney or similar in several other records.  He married in 1915 to Rosa Zauner (born ca. 1895).
        1. Barbara O. Terpening (1915 - 2011) married in 1942 to George T. Golden (1917 - 1980), a World War II Army veteran.
        2. Gerald Bell Terpening (1925 - 2010).  Gerald's obituary spells his father's name "Monseania".  Gerald married in 1946 to Juanita Samanthea Conners (1924 - 1985).
      3. Chester Terpening (1894 - 1963).  Removed to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Chester married Sarah Baldwin (1896 - 1924 - she was a sister of Selah Terpening's wife Jennie Baldwin)
        1. Miriam Winifred "Minnie" Terpening (1915 - 1999) married in 1940 to John F. Baker.
        2. Virginia R. Terpening (born ca. 1918)
