31 August :Bombed and seriously damaged in the Cammell Laird shipyard at
Liverpool; then repaired.
1942 21st March : Torpedoed and damaged
by U-202, position 38.46N 55.44W, on voyage Liverpool to Port Everglades, in
ballast.
Later,
towed 750 miles by tug (Rescue Tug Service) to St. John's Newfoundland and
repaired.
Renamed
EMPIRE VISCOUNT for MOWT (Athel Line, managers).
1946
reverted to ATHELVISCOUNT for Tankers Ltd, Liverpool (Athel Line Ltd).
1957
scrapped at Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, Holland.
