VENTRIS, John Peyton age 2 SS Melita 1924, unaccompanied
July 14/25 (legal adoption) went to Mrs B....... (I am leaving out the name
of the adopting family and the address), in British Columbia.
The juv. insp. report says:
"Legally adopted and known as "Richard P. B............."-- Mr and Mrs
B........ are very fond of John and do not wish him to ever know that he is
only an adopted child. The family are well spoken of by the neighbours."
It is possible that the initial "P" retained part of this child's
birth-name.
