     In the Indian Way...
When I’m feeling down, and things don’t seem right, I think of you, just cruising in flight. With your wing span wide, you soar in the sky, higher and higher, upward you fly. In my heart and my mind, I truly believe in the Indian way, you came to relieve. So take my prayers, upon your wings, my sorrows, troubles and other things. Higher you flew, till I saw you no more, I know that you flew there, to heaven’s door. The Creator, He lifts them, from your wings, they say, millions of prayers, He answered that day. So thank you, Great Eagle, for flyin’ my way, and taking my prayers in the Indian way.

bringing together people, process and technology for life long learning.

Since his Peace Corps days, Ron has had two loves, sharing knowledge and living close to the land. First in the 70s, he brought them together as he lived and worked in rural Wisconsin for Countryside magazine. In the early 80s, they are combined in rural and integrated development projects in Africa and Jamaica where his role was always one of bringing together farmers, extension agents and scientists to find appropriate sustainable farming methods.

During his long career in international development, he is best known as the U.S. Agency for International Development officer who pioneered an agencywide training program for addressing the issues and needs of women and girls in all of the agency's development programs. This strategy is now firmly embedded in the project development process for the U.S. and other countries international development programs.

In the 90s he provided leadership and expert advice to USAID regarding distance learning, communication and information technologies. He was USAID's liaison with the White House in its effort to develop the Global Information Infrastructure.
