ISAAC CADY age 56 in July 6, 1820 Middleburg Ct./ Vt. [had both states listed]
3 years service. He was of Addison. He listed he had 18 children, seven died 5 living with him, 1 bound out as apprentice. Harry age 18 in feeble constitution, Alvin 15 somewhat deficient in abilities, Viola requires constant care, James Myron age 10, Abigail Victoria 5 yrs., Benjamin James 3 very sickly with rickets. His age was 56 [b. ca. 1764] Wife was never named but age was 50 [b. ca. 1770] Kingston Addison Co. Vt. was a Pvt. Reg. Col. Dearborn of NH for 3 yrs. pd. $8.00 month started 6 Apr. 1818. certified Pension 15 July 1819 if NH line 3 yrs. 56 yrs old . on 6 July 1820. Discharged summer 1784,
ELIZABETH CADY wife of MANASSEH CADY. Henry Robinson pastor 1st Church Killingsly Windham Co. Ct. certified and sworn July 1, 1829 he was stating one married Jan 27 1785 Manasseh Cady married Elizabeth Hutchins. she was of Windsor, Windsor Co. Vt. Sworn by Pastor July 1, 1829. The original declaration by Elizabeth on 3 Nov. 1838 to be claimed by certain widows. It was stated he was age 79 and upwards. Manasseh late of said Windsor, Vt. was a Pvt. and Corporal in Rev. and Marine Service in the Frigate Trunsbull, was in sea fight, was at White Plains. [the rest of the sheet is cut off]
Elizabeth Hutchins b. Killingsly, married by Rev. Atkins, after marriage moved to Hartland, Windsor Co. where they lived 4 yrs. then they moved to Windsor. Husband died 26th Dec. 1833. The first payment was made to him about 1 week before he died was about $107. She was not married to him before service but marriage took place previous 1st of Jan. 1794. Sworn by Elizabeth 3 Nov. 1838. He was 74 when filed in court and was unable to attend 7 June 1832. He enlisted 1776. He lived Windsor as Maj. as 47 yrs of age. He died 26 Sept 1833. B. Jun 27, 1758 Killingsly Windsor co. Ct. lived in Windsor, Co Vt. where he applied for pension.
He was also in Windsor Co. Vt. certified 27 Aug 1833 while in Windsor Vt. Had a brother named William. who in Sept 1838 was 75 yrs. old.
DARRIS CADY Issued Jan. 28, 1790. Warrent #3990, served Cranes Centennial Artillery Mass. Nothing else was recorded.
SQUIRE CADY of Plainfield Windham Co. Ct. Abijah Cady was mentioned.
REUBEN CADY was 48 years old when he filed had two children ages 4 and 3 by names of Reuben and Hiram.
Chaplain County on the 27th of July 1818 came into the courts of common please and town of Napan/Nasan was inlisted in a Regt. commanded by John Durkee in the state of Ct. , capt. Thomas Grosvenor, the first day of jan. 1776 for one year. He was discharged in the state of Pa. that he went in Capt. Knowltons Co. to Banbridge in 1775 that he was in the battles of Bunker Hill of Flat bush on Long Island and at Harlem Heights.
The city of Troy Renselear Co. NY age 62 yrs. resident of Town of Nassau, Aug 1, 1820.
In 1820 his wife Rachly? was 45 yrs old and sons Reuben and Hiram were 7 and 3 yrs old.
It states that his health keeps him from being able to work.
RUBEN CADY revolutionary war made his mark filed on papers Aug. 1, 1820. He was stated as being age of 48 in 1819. b. ca. 1771. He was stated as being infirm with children Reuben and Hiram. The only other in the papers was a listing of his belongings. All pertinent information is listed.
ABBE CADY was brother to Manasah lived 1832 Concord, NH age 62. (b. ca. 1770)He stated he had four brothers that served at the same time. Mentions Wm. of Killingsly who was age 75 in Sept. 1838.(b. ca 1763)
ELIJAH CADY 1775-1780 served under Capt Ebenezer Cady lived Cannan Columbia Co. NY when he enlisted applied for pension 24 Jan 1833, lived Chatham Columbia Co. NY. b. Mar 8, 1747 Coventry Ct. Had a son Ebenezer who was alive in 1833. He gave sworn word. 1883.
Samuel Cady was clergyman of Troupsburg Steuben Co. NY and gave a statement he was acquainted with Elijah Cady who was subscribing to pension who was a Rev. Soldier in Jun 15, 1833. He applied his mark. He enlisted Apr. 1775, Killingsly Windham Co Ct. He was b. Plainfield Ct. Nov. 27, 1747. He went to Killingsly to Pound?, Vt. than to Middlefield Ostego Co. NY where he lived 8 years, than moved Deerfield Lycoming Co. Pa. [they state now Tioga Co.] lived 25 years than moved to Troupsburgh NY.
EZRA CADY filed 7 Aug 1832 and was the age of 76. Of Brooklyn Windham co. Ct. In year 1776 was in Ct. Militia under Capt. Joseph Abbott of Brooklyn Ct. Regt. of Col. Ebenezer Williams of Pomfret, Lt. Col Wm. Danielson of Killingsly, Maj. McCellen of Woodstock. Statement by clergyman states Ezra was 76 yrs. Clergy Samuel J May and Joseph Davidson.
JEREMIAH CADY Sgt Rev. War on 23 July 1832 appeared in court to give affidavit in Semphronus Cayuga Co. NY age 72 [b. ca. 1770] filled for benefits of Militia served in Mass. April 1775. At the alarm of Boston Battle for enlisted 9 mo. at a place called Gage Burough now Windsor, Berkshire Co. Mass. he served under Capt Cady and he advanced to a Major. He was under Capt Cady of mass. for 1 mo. and was 17 months as Pvt. on rolls of NY. He died 22 Aug 1834 Pvt. to Sgt. and received $61.66 NY act. This was written on a small slip of paper. June 7 last paid and was signed by G W Bump.
Invalid had brother Phineas. His brother John was sick and unable to perform duties so he took his place in service. He was about 72 in 1832 b. ca. 1770. He was in the militia of Mass. 1775.
Jeremiah of County Orleans Town of Bare?, b. Killingsley July 5, 1751 Windsor Co. Ct. which was recorded in Shuttsburg Hampshire Co. Mass. moved 1815 to Pittsford Ontario Co. NY 1830, moved to _______ He was a minute man and died 22 Aug 1834 Semphronus Cayuga Co. NY.
He was certified and gave opinion he was Rev. war soldier and states that Nathaniel L. Moon a clergyman and John Cady both residents of Semphronis. He was badly infirmed kept Jeremiah from attending court, signed by the judge. Jeremiah ask for pension for service of 17 months. Prior to stated he took his brothers place as he was sick and unable to do duty. They marched from Danbury to Hartford and than to Fishkill on the Hudson River where they fixed for winter quarters. It was about 4 months after entering service. He requested furlough of 60 days. He didn’t return to service. The alarm was sounded next years and volunteered to go to Stillwater Saratoga Co to protect the inhabitants from Indians. Nathaniel Moore and John Cady believed Jeremiah to be about 72 yrs of age and was respectable. Later Rev. War pension states he was invalid June 7, 1832. He served with Gen. Schuyler, Col. Leonard, Gen. Sinclair while at Ticonderoga, a short time before the retreat of same. and last service he did was to make large number of shingles, the British came to Ticonderoga was led by Col. Ethan Allen into Bennington. They were ordered to join Gen. Gates at Saratoga. 27 Feb. 1835 gave oath Orleans Co NY town of Barrs gave oath being 82 yrs. old. Record to best of his ability of time served. County of Orleans at Albins? 28 Feb. 1834. sworn by H J. Sickles. 21 Aug. 1832 he was resident town Barri NY aged 81 yrs . sworn and declared. He entered service Barns Killingsly July 5, 1751 Windham Co. Ct. Recorded Shutsburgh Hanshire Co. Mass moved 1815 to Pittsfield Ontario Co. NY. town of Bryon Genesee co. Moved 1830 to present place of Orleans co. Winter of 1775 enlisted as minuteman under Capt Reuben Dickerson. Apr. 20, 1775,the Battle of Lexington with 6 or 7 more of company stationed at Cambridge College. He was stationed on the right wing at Bunker Hill, Gen. Putman gave orders to not fire till they seen their eyes. [British]
Discharged Jan 1776, than Oct. 1776 Volunteers for 1 yrs. as artificer and soldier and Lt. Cousin was signed by Col Baldwin. Later received order to Ticonderoga. they took boats. Discharged Oct 1777. He became blind several years later. David Page clergy sworn to the above data.
JOHN CADY of Allegany co. NY pvt. under Capt. Stafford. Registered Albany pension comment 7 Feb. 1845. Payable to his widow. Judge at Angelia that John Cady died in Carty? Allegany on 7 Feb. 1845. He left 3 children. Eliza Phillips, Hannah Derry, Lewis Cady each more than 21 years of age. Dated 4 March 1845. John served Vt. Rev. War. Pvt. Nov. 2, 1883, D E Eaton history written on side of document. John 15 Nov. 1853 Allegany Co was 90 yrs last May.
gave her oath that they were married Feb. 1799. He died 7 Feb. 1845. She was unable to attend court.
April 13, 1855 Sarah Cady widow of John appeared in Allegany Co court to file for pension of her deceased husband John Cady. Her age was 91 yrs of age. She was the resident of the town of Wirt in the state of NY. John was a pvt. in the company Commanded by Capt. Jesse Stafford. John was a volunteer at the Windsor State of Vt. from where he left at Pittsford and helped build a Fort and was stationed there for four months. He didn’t receive a written discharge . She stated she was married to John in the month of Feb. 1799 and her name before marriage was Sarah Coller that said husband died at Wirt on Feb. 7, 1845.

lived 10 years in Hampton NY, the town of West Point Westport Essex co. for 22 yrs. Ebenezer Dougley, Newton Hayes, John Bowman and David Brenard testified to his character. Jesse Pronices and Abain Barker of Westport Essex co. NY.

1832, 26 Feb. Essex Jonathan of Westport served in Windsor, Windsor Co. Vt. He was in no battles. He lived in Windsor, through Hartland Hartford Norwich and other towns in Vt. to Newbury at a place called the Oxbow or Corner.
LT. JONATHAN CADY Rhode Island Providence Of Regt. Col. Williams in Ct. was in the rolls of Rhode Island approved Jan 17 1833 civil Providence Act.
Enlisted Killingly Ct. Date of application for pension Aug. 20, 1832 claims were allowed. Residence at date of application Providence, Providence Co. Rhode Island. Age at date of application born June 14, 1746 in Killingly Ct. died July 12, 1834.
he lived in Killingly Ct. and was born there and he entered the service and since that has lived in Providence for 40 years.
JONATHAN CADY appeared 7 Aug 1832 in Brooklyn, was born 1754 Brooklyn. My age is recorded in my bible he stated on his papers when he requested a pension. he said he recollect seeing Gen. Washington as well as Gen. Putnam who belonged to Brooklyn.
LUTHER CADY Saratoga NY was Pvt. in Ct. under Col. Brown in NY for 15 months 26 days. On Rolls of Albany NY $52.86. Started receiving 15 Oct. 1844 Court of Saratoga Springs in County of Saratoga. Luther resided Greenfield and is 81 yrs old. He was born Killingsly Windham Co. Ct. 1 April 1762. He enlisted as waiter to Col. Samuel Brown at Killingsly where both resided on 14th June 1775. soon after he went to Providence In Rhode Island from there to New Haven Ct. They went to NY stationed in Harlem on L. Island. He resided with his grandfather who had a colored man named Prince who was in his stead. They never returned.
June 1776 Jerico [now Hancock] Hanshire Co Mass he enlisted as pvt. and they went to west Point. he became a teamster. He was taken prisoner by the British and taken to St. Johns Canada. After being taken to another place he and other prisoners escaped 1 Nov. 1782. Abraham Fortier, Silas McWatly, John Cohely, John Tubbs, Samuel Daley, John Albright, Daniel Ashby and _____ McCandler. They were over taken and captured except himself and McCandler and they traveled by night and reached NY but companion died of fatigue and hunger. He reached home 4th Dec 1782 and did not return as the war was over. He lived Concord Berkshire Mass than Granville Washington Co. NY where he was there 16 years, than to Northumberland [Now Wilton] in Saratoga Co. NY and 1818 moved to Cornith same County until May 1843. He now resides Greenfield Saratoga Co.
ABNER CADY of Stafford Tolland Co. Ct. d. Oct. 16, 1835. In 1836 a Molly Cady was 76 years old. Abner b. 17-or 7, Dec. 1786. Married Stafford, on Sept 1, 1832. Abner filed and received $58.65. He was Pvt. under Capt. Robinson Regt. of Tolland Ct. for 17 months 18 days. He was 72 years old when he filed 14 Dec. 1838, cert. #964 pension office Bk. E, vol. 3rd,Pg. 7. She filed Sept 25, 1838.
MOLLY CADY was in court age 76 in 7 July 1838 of Stafford Tolland Co. Ct. Applied for half pension of certain widows married to ABNER CADY who died Oct 16 1835. He applied 1 Sept 1832. He obtained $58.65.
Filed was statement in public records that Abner Cady and Molly Holmes were joined in Marriage Dec. 27, 1782 attested by Town clerk of Stafford.
NEDABIAH CADY Reading Vt. Pvt. on the rolls of Vt. district of Windsor and County of Windsor Vt. July 30, 1832 Medabiah resident of Town of Reading in County of Windsor aged 80 applied to pension. Entered the service as militia. he was stationed at Roxbury Mass. He was born at Killingsley on the 20th Dec, 1751. the birth is recorded in the town clerks off in Killingsly and also in his family bible. At the time of his birth he was living at S? Killingsly and at the time of being called into service. He now resides in Reading ever since 1780. Samuel C Loveland and Simeon Buck are person to whom is known in his present neighborhood and can testify to his character. He mentioned his brother Benjamin Cady late of Windsor Vt.
PALMER CADY A letter that was sent to the commissioners of Pensions Nov. 14 1821 asking for information on Palmer Cady who enlisted in the Rev. War Apr. 16, 1776. Sgt Major of Elmars State Reg. Promoted Ensign Oct. 1776 2nd Canadian Haryen Regt. Feb. 1st. 1777, Lt col March 24, 1778. He was born Canterbury Ct. and buried at Canaan NY according to records. He owned much land in Columbia Co. NY which as we have under stood was willed or divided up among his children, any information or any lead that will help in finding his marriage and his children will be greatly appreciated. Palmer Cady- A letter from Frances Cady Hull of Battle Creek Mich. was received in [Nov. 14, 1921,] the war office and the letter back stated that no records were available on account of a fire in 1800 destroying papers in the war office. They stated that Warrant No. 494 for 200 acres of bounty land was issued Oct. 12,1790 due to his service in the Rev. war under Col. Hazen Regt.
PHINEAHAS CADY Hannah Cady of Semphorius march 2, 1837 filed for pension money as Phineas died Feb. 26, 1829 Cayuga Co. NY. He was a private in Regt. by Col Jackson. for 2 yrs. He received his pension while living Saratoga co. NY. She was married to Phineas Cady 18th day of May 1780 in the town of Dolton State of Mass. . He died 26th Feb. 1829 in Semporius and that she remained a widower and appears to be bodily infirmed by reformed to the proof hereunto.
Phineas claimed in 1818 that he had no family and no way of working as to the debility of body. They did a tally of his belongings and had one hammer and ONE awl and one cart wearing apparel bedding has now a bit of tools. It totaled to $1.22 value.
In 1837 March came before Ebenezer Smith the judge of County court, Jamison Cady a resident of Semponius Cayuga county NY. He is 76 yrs of age and say she previous and during the Rev. war resided at Dalton Mass. She was present when Phineahas Cady and Hannah Parks were married. They were married during the Rev. war and but cannot say exactly what year. They were married at Dalton.
She is well acquainted with the two since then and that Phinehas died at Semporius and she was at his funeral. the said Hannah is a widow and has not been married since the decease of her husband. signed. Jaminson Cady
Saratoga County 14th Feb. 1820 Phinehas appeared in court age about 59 yrs. resident of Cayuga county NY stated that he was in the Rev. war. He was discharged at Newburgh except he was absent a few months on furlough and after he had overstayed his furlough a substitute to file his plan but afterwards took the place of the substitute and faithfully until his time. he has no proof except for the papers that were sent to Washington but were in some way defective and sent back. that was the last Tuesday of Feb. 1819.
A statement by James Thompson states that Phineahas is destitute and in poverty and is aware of the situation he is in regard to the pension needed. Sworn 14th day of Feb. 1820. He stated he knew he served in the Rev. War. He says he knew him for twenty years and knows the country needs to give aid to Cady. signed Feb. 14, 1820.
John Cady 2nd the son of Phinehas Cady appeared in court and gave statement that his father died at his house on the 26th day of Feb. 1829 and he further says that Hannah Cady his widow and that she has not been married since his decease.
Phinehas made a statement that he sent the papers at the post office in Stillwater to be transmitted to Washington which he is advised never been received at the war office. sworn 14th Feb. 1820.
ZACOCK CADY Sempronus NY Pvt. in the company Capt. Gordon of Regt by Col Douglass in the Ct. for 16 months.
On the NY rolls for 53 dollars and 33 cents. Certificate issued Nov. 15 1832 and sent to A. Cady. In first tour he served as waiter to his father, Lt. David Cady. Enlisted Killingsly, Windham Co. Ct. application date Aug 6, 1832. Residence Sempronius Cayuga co. NY. He was born Jan 14, 1764 and died Mar. 6, 1846. He was the son of David and Mary Sprague Cady. He married at Killingly Ct. Jan 10 1788 Lucy Little. She was allowed pension on Apr. Executed Dec 25, 1848 aged 80 yrs. of
Moravia NY.
A Rachael Morse resident of Cayuga Co. NY age 75 yrs gave testimony that she was acquainted with Lucy Cady 50 or 55 years ago with Lucy and Zadock Cady that they lived in South Killingly Windham co. ct. before they were married and married in that town and that Lucy lived with her father in Partridgefield Mass prior to marriage and until they moved to Cayuga Co. they stayed over night while on their way to NY. from Killingly Ct. At that time the applicant was single and living with her father that more than three years afterwards removed to Cayuga Co NY. It was early in the spring of 1795 the first of Nov. following before she was married and that she was married on the fourth day of Nov. 1795.
Elizabeth Cady wife of Jason Cady. appeared in 1811, and stated that he died on the 11th of July 1814. That she married to Jason/Janson Cady on the 4th day of July 1818 and that he died on the 9th day of march 1820 and that she is now a widow. Judge George Clyde of Cannan Columbia Co. NY on July 13, 1843 to give oath and file for pension for Elizabeth Cady, as she is unable to go to court as she lives about 22 miles from said court and that she has lost the use of one of her legs.
ELISHA CADY served in the battles of Oriskiny and taking of Burgoyne. Date of her application for pension Jan. 13, 1837and his claim was allowed. She was living in Montgomery Co NY at that time and was at the age of 79 yrs. in April 1836. He married Dec. 20, 1773 Ruth Waterman. He died Aug. 24, 1827. She was allowed pension for his services. She died Glen, Montgomery Co. NY Sept 15,1840. The children left were Henry C, Polly, Prudy, Elisha, Asa Cady and Zilpha Hollister, Lucy Satterlee and Sally Smith wife of Wm. Smith. only serving children. in 1852

WARREN CADY
Pvt. Mass line. On the rolls of NY. Certificate of Pension issued 10 Nov. 1818 and forward to Stephen Phillips Ontario Co. NY. 29 Sept. 1820.
Than on the same piece of paper is written Naples, Ontario Co.
24th April 1818 appeared in court Ontario Co. NY town of Naples Warren Cady and was sworn in. He declared that he was in the service of Rev. war. His company was commanded by Capt. Story in Jan 1777 for three years in col Marshall Jackson Regt. of Windsor Berkshire Mass.

On 21 Aug, 1815 Warren Cady was 57 yrs old and resident of the town of Middlesex and served in the war for the term of three years.
He stated that his family consisted of his wife Betsey aged 52, my son Ransley W aged 23 afflicted with the diabetic and unable to perform any labor, my son Hiram aged 13 and my son Charles M aged 11years. He signed his name in court on 21st day Aug. 1820.
WILLIAM CADY found on the rolls and admitted Served Pvt. painter. He appeared in court Sept 13, 1820 from South Hero Grand Isle County aged 66 yrs. Resident of Grand Isle County Vt. gives his oath that he served in the Rev. war. He enlisted in Dec. 1780 at Pittsfield Mass. He was discharged at West Point NY. He testified that he was a resident of the US 18 March 1818 and has not dispensed of any property. He listed his worth with cows, etc so as to fit into the guidelines of the pension due. He states he has a wife 62 and two grandchildren from seven to nine yrs of age which constitutes my whole family that I am by own portion a shoemaker but by reason of old age infirmity and the loss of one leg are not able to but little labor. that my original declaration was dated April 14, 1818 and the number of my certificate 9337. He signed his name of South Hero.
His original states he enlisted Cambridge Mass May 1775. After his service he was discharged at West point NY and in the month of Nov went home and within two or three years from that time his house was burned with all the contents, discharge and all. He testified he was poor and reduced circumstances and need the assistance of the county for support.
At the battle of taking Gen. Burgoine he was slightly wounded on one of the shoulder and the other was a part of his nose was shot off. He has no witness to prove.
A Benjamin Huss a judge gave statement that he knew William and that he was wholly disabled of property and that he had one of his thighs amputated some years ago and that he has for along time been wholly unable to do any kind of labor on account of pad hammer in one of his hands, one finger lately taken off and that he absolutely stands in need of government for support.
RICHARD CADY Aug 22 1832 he was in the court of age 70 a resident of Ct Windham county stating he was drafted Aug. 1780 into the Centennial militia to serve in the Rev. war. he was a musician and was in Capt Dunlaps co. He stated he was born Assean ? in Canterbury on the 13th day of April 1762. they ask if he had record of age and where is it. It looks like, the answer was Henite Amixia.?
he lived at Canterbury when enlisting in service and returned there to live. He never had any written discharge.
When she was 80 Alice appeared in court again on 6 Sept 1849 in county of Windham town of Canterbury for a pension. She was a widow of Richard and that he died in Canterbury 19th June 1849.
RICHARD CADY Rev. war pension 10571. He was b. April 13, 1762 in Canterbury Ct. He enlisted in Aug 1780 while living in that place as a fifer. He served three months under Capt. Dunlap Ct. He later enlisted in Capt Daniel Tylers Ct. Co for three and half months as fifer. He was allowed pension Aug. 20, 1838 while resident at Canterbury Ct. He died June 19, 1849 Canterbury, Ct. He married Nov. 15, 1787 Canterbury to Alice Bigham. She was allowed pension executed Sept. 6, 1849 while she was a resident of Canterbury. She was stated as being 80 yrs old. 1855 she was living in Brooklyn Ct. and she stated she was 88 yrs.
LOIS CADY widow of RICHARD CADY dated 1855 Apr. 20 Bennington Co. Stamford Vt. Richard Cady Pvt. Rev. War 1775 at taking of Burgoin. Enlisted at Wilksberre or Palmer Mass. discharged 1778. she was married 12 Oct. 1798 by Elijah Bailey J.P. maiden name was Lois Ward. He died Reedsbrough 13 June 1830. Richard never drew a pension. She made her mark.
CHLOE CADY wife of Ebenezer of Schuyler Herkimer Co. NY. He [New Concord]of Chatham , Columbia County, NY was in battles of Canhnawaga[sic] NY. Johnston, Stone Arabia, Ft. Herkimer in Mohawk Country in the year 1780, was a resident of Chatham Co NY. Served as Capt. in war. He enlisted New Concord [which was later called Chatham] in June 1776. Appointed Capt. He died Sept 11, 1816 at Chatham NY, married to Chloe [no maiden name given] Feb. 12, 1767. Chloe applied 31 Jan 1837.

SQUIRE CADY
In court at Windham County of Windham June 27, 1820 in court Squire Cady of Plainfield in Windham Co. aged sixty five years. He told of his entry into the service of the Rev. war being under Christopher ........ in the Ct. line. He was discharged in Peekskill NY Dec. 31, 1776. He received a pension the date of the original was Apr. 8, 1818. I am a farmer by occupation but I am infirmed of body and I am unable to labor but very little being troubled with rheumatism and other disorders. I have a wife named Abigail aged 53 not in very good health able to labor a part of the time. I have two children residing with me one a son married, George age 25 yrs able to labor to whom I owe for his work $300. as is mentioned in the schedule of labor. I have one daughter named Maria aged 11 yrs in good health.
The whole estate of Squire made and signed June 27, 1820. The home lot of about 55 acres of land with an old house and barn standing about 20 acres of old field land and swamps. There is a tract of wild land in state of Ohio which my agent there has been trying to see it for 15 or 20 years past and is now has been for a number of years past and is now fully empowered to me to see and convey the same at his own discretion. My last account from him was that he knew upon pension who wanted to buy it. I have annually a bill of expense to pay for taxes is other things annually and oversee not a cent from it and in all probably never shall during my life. suppose it to be 500 acres what it is worth I do not know.
What follows now is a long list of objects owned on his land, such as pigs, chains, rakes, and anything that is attached with living in the country.
In court to obtain the benefits of the act of congress of that of June 1832 Squire Cady of Windham stated he was 77 yrs of age on the 28th of Oct. past year how was sworn to law gave his oath that he enlisted into the army of the United states and served in the same as in the militia of Ct. His term expired Nov. 1, 1775.
Town clerks office of Plainsfield Jan. 23 1849. Mr. Squire Cady and Miss Abiah Spalding were married May 29, 1799 Pittsfield, Windham co. Ct.
George Cady stated that he held the office of town clerk and gave his seal that Abiah was the widow of Squire Cady.
Abiah aged 87 appeared in court May 4, 1855 to request a pension. She lived Plainfield, Windham co. ct. He died at Plainfield June 3, 1841.
His wife Abiah received pension 12 March 1849.
ELIAS CADY
He was first refused pension as he didn’t supply to the service served. Than he applied later after he moved to Mich. The following info is from that submission.
He lived Smithfield Twp. Providence co. Rh. Island where he was born Sept 7, 1759. Date of his pension July 15, 1841 was living in Holly Twp. Oakland Co. Mich. he lived at Rh. Island until he moved to Utica until 1835, than to Coshocton NY. until 1838 than moved to Mich. and that is where he lived when he applied to the war pension department.

David Cady was Pvt. Pension NY b. 1747/64, Florida NY. d. 1844 NY mar. 1785 Irena Pratt (1769-1843).
also another David.
