Died In this village, on Saturday morning last, Clarissa, daughter of  and Clarissa Gregg, aged 6 years and 2 months.
 In Dix on the 8th inst., Mr. James Mead, of consumption aged  22 years   (repeat of item on Feb. 20.)

Died In Havana, on the 29d inst., Henry Stevens, aged 69 years.
In Catharine on the 17th inst., Mrs. Laura, consort of Mr Austin M. Bell,  in the 31st year of her age., leaving a husband and five small children to  mourn her loss. She died as the righteous die in peace.
In Rockford, Winebago.Co Ill, on the 10th February, Jesse Jennings, late of  Elmira, aged about 42 years.
 
In the town of Veteran, on the 25th inst., William Bentley, aged 61 years.
In Southport, on the 27th February last, Henry Wells, Esq., in the 75th year  of his age..., he was born on Long Island, on the 26 March 1770. He settled in this county (then Tioga) about the year 1793 and has occupied a large space   in the history of the county. He has held various offices of honor and trust, having been many years assisstant Justice and a Judge of the county courts of,  then Tioga  twice represented the Legislature (1812 and 1819), was prinicpal  assessor of the United States Revenue under  from Mr.Maddison in 1815; was appointed Sheriff  of the county in  1819, has held many important military offices in the militia, Was appointed Pay Master in the late war.  and was in service on the western frontier of the state.

In the morning  of the 27th  Feb. at his  residence in the town of Erin Col. John Tuthill, aged 84 yrs. 11 mo, 25 da. He was born in Blooming Grove Orange Co. March 4, 1760. He emigrated to this county in May 1819
and was highly  respected among his friends  and neighbors. He represented   Orange county in the legislature in 1805, was appointed  a Capt. by John Jay when Gov.  of the state. An Honest and upright man; he will long be remembered by those who knew him.

Died At his residence in Bolton, Warren co., John Dickinson sen a Rev. Soldier in the 85th  year of his age.  Thus has passed away another of those few surviving heroes of the Revolution, who have long live  to enjoy freedom for which they fought. He enlisted at the age of 18 yrs was  among the glorious number who assissted in the capture of Burgoyne, and  brought lasting honor upon the country. He was a native of Rennselaer Co., and  also among the first settlers of Warren county. A faithful soldier, and a  Christian, he was endeared to all who knew him. and full of years he departed this life but to enjoy those sweeter treasures and nobler honors which swell  the joys of heaven.
 
 Died  In Brooklyn, on the evening of the 27th ult., Elizabeth N., wife of   Edgard Suffern, and youngest daughter of the late Philip S. Parke, Esq., of  Albany.

 In Cuba, Allegany co., on the 27th ult., Betsy Chamberlain, consort of Hon.Calvin T. Chamberlain of the Senate, aged 50 years.

On the 1st inst at Well, Pa. Mrs. Joanna Roy wife of Mr. alexander Roy of the fifty fifth year of her age. Left husband and children. Goshen papers please copy.

 Died in  Albany city, on the 11th inst., Peter J. Arnot, formerly of this  place in  the 40th year of his age.

Died  In Newark, Kendall Co., Illinois, on the 29th tilt., of billious fever  Hon. Elijah Shoemaker, late Judge of the Common Court pleas in Tioga Co.  and for many years  a fresident of the town of Nichols, aged 57 yrs.

 Died  General Andrew Jackson is dead.., at the Hermitage near Nashville, on Sunday evening the 8th inst., in the 79 year of his age.
 In Bloomfield, Oakland co., Michigan, Andrew Miller, late of Chemuna, Chemung Co., N.Y., aged 64- years.
 
In Poughkeepsie on the 19th inst. of smallpox, Charles P. Hathaway, son of Gen, Hathaway, of Cortland Co., aged about 18.
In this village, on the 10th inst., at the residence of her son-In-law, Rev.   J.Dodge, Mrs. Prudence F. Goodwin, consort of the late Rev. Richard Goodwin, aged 75 years.
 
 In Havana, on the 31st ult, Hannah L. Bebee, in the 36th year of her age.
 
In Harrisburg, on the 12th inst., Gen. Jacob Sallade, late Surveyor General   of Pa., age 56.

Died In Lower Chemung, in the morning of the 4th last, Mr. Edward Gaines  Pickering  youngest son of Mr. Benj. Pickering, aged about 24 years and two   months.  The deceased had engaged in a game at playing ball, in the  vigorous exerclse, ruptured an internal artery, death in a few moments.
 
In this  village, on the 8th inst., Blizaboth Stevens, infant daughter of   Socrates and Susan Ayres, aged 8 months.

 Died of apoplexy in Hartland, Livingston Co., Mich., on the 26th ult., Mrs .Ann Griswold in the
 68th year of her age. She was formerly from the  town  Chemung in this county.

Died  In this village, on the 28th ult., at 9 A.M. at the residence of her  father Mr. John Hughes, Miss Catharine Hughes, aged 27 years, and on the same  day at 11 A.M., her sister Miss Harriet Hughes, aged 25 years,  had resided  about a year past at Centerville, in Maryland, arrived here on Saturday  evening last in ill health  devoted members of the Methodist Eriscoral Church.

Died  In Chemung, on Friday last, James Green, aged 95 years 5 months. The deceased was a Revolutionary Soldier, and we understand he was the last survivor  of the Wyoming Massacre.

 In this Borough, on the 11th inst, Miss Lydia T. Adams, aged 10 years and 7 months, and on the 12th inst., Miss Mary A. Adams, aged 26 years and 9  months, both daughters of Jerre and Cynthia Adams.

Obituary from the Madison Journal:- Died, of consumption, at Chesterfield,  Madison parish, La., on the 25th of September, Mrs. Adaline Williams, consort  of Joseph Williams, and daughter of Mrs. Hannah Sparks, of Elmira, in the  26th year of her age.... protracted illness of 14 months... ? left husband and a youthful son.
