Information on this site came from various newspaper clippings. Other information was gathered through the efforts and generosity of the Montour Falls Library. Carol Fagnan and her crew and Their willingness to share this material has been offered. The object of the present managing staff, after reviewing the years of mounting material, is to catalogue and make it available to the public. The task they have undertaken will take considerable time. Much has been in the attic gathering dust for years. It is their intention to aid searching in and of this area.

However other surrounding places have contributed to the vast amount of information on this site. It is the result of over thirty years of my hunting for genealogy material and items.

Where possible, the (date) month and year are placed here, and other times will try to gather the approximate date found on the surrounding clippings that do have dates written on them. All pertinent information supplied on the clippings will be provided. Most of the clippings were from papers published in and surrounding areas of Montour Falls, Elmira, Corning, Geneva, Pen Yan, Rochester, Dundee, Watkins Glen NY and other places in the state of Pa. This will be indicated as such when provided.
