Robert Lee Jr. named depose say that I hold the office of Pastor of said German reformed Church in the county town and state of NY. He gave as best of enable to give there are some words explanatory as I believe of the contract or rite of Matrimony which I am unable to give for want of a knowledge of the German language. By Rev. State of Pa. Bradford Co. 9th day of July 1839 appeared Elizabeth Crans aged 82 yrs sworn she is the widow of Philip Crans who was a Sgt. in the Rev. War for town of Montgomery Orange Co. NY filed for a pension on his service as his widow.
