If you have any questions, please contact us. ([email protected])

Have you hit a brick wall in your research? DNA testing is an exciting tool that can further your research efforts like no other method you have had available in the past. Bill, Ken and Tammy are volunteers who administer the FamilyTreeDNA Tyner surname project and are hosting this website in an effort to consolidate the DNA data from various DNA companies and provide assistance, if possible. Please join in our efforts to collect samples from around the world.

We are have new test results in. Descendants of: William T Tyner of Baker/Early Co, GA/Bastrop Co, TX through his son Lewis, John Francis Tyner from Heard/Wilkes Co, GA/MS and Elijah Tyner of Effingham Co, GA to Florida.

We have a couple of Tynes who are ordering tests.

Among others, we would like to find someone who descends from John Tyner of Early/Baker, GA to Walton, Florida to take the test. One son of his was Silas Robert Tyner.

We also need Tynes of Isle of Wight, VA, Canada and Bermuda. T Mark James, a foremost Tynes researcher identifies these Tynes branches:

- Isle of Wight County, Virginia (both black and white descendants)
- "Isaac Tynes" line (Halifax County, Virginia, to Missouri) *might have a tester
- "Samuel Tynes" line (Tazewell County, Virginia)
- "Timothy and/or Robert F." Alabama line (to western Louisiana and Texas) *might have a tester from Timothy and one from Robert Fleming which would prove/disprove a relationship between them.
- Bermuda/Bahamas line (to Florida and Michigan, both black and white descendants)

Don't forget to sign the guestbook before you go.
