Union County, Ohio Biographies Project - Edward (Ned) Williams EDWARD (NED) WILLIAMS

Ned Williams, as he was familiarly called, arrived about 1822.  He bought 100 acres from Mr. Lee and settled on it with his wife, Rebecca (Wilson), and children, Sally and Wilson.  He was a hard working, industrious farmer, and keenly enjoyed hunting, and often engaged in it, and who was somewhat addicted to the practice, then quite common, of indulging freely in the products of the still.  He died suddenly while on his way with a load of wheat to Portland, Lake Erie.  His widow after a time removed to other parts.
