ISAAC ALLEN
Isaac Allen, a brother of Daniel Allen, early
removed to the
State of New York and married Theresa Andrews. In the fall of
1811, they emigrated to Ohio and settled in Pike Township, Madison
County. In 1829, he removed to this county and settled in Allen
Township, where he resided till his death, in 1863. His wife died
in 1860. Of their children Romanta, married Anna Mather, and
removed to Iowa, where he died; Lury, married Alvin Wilcox, and
subsequently removed to Indiana, where she died; Phebe, married William
Mather, and now resides in Iowa; Mira, married Christopher Wilbur, is
now a widow and lives on the home place; Nathan B., married Margaret
Mather, and now resides in Iowa; Emily, married Warren Lathrop, is
deceased; Harriet, married Michael Mullen, and removed to Iowa, where
she died; and Caroline, who died in infancy.
