JOHN KNOCK

    John Knock, a farmer, was born in England in 1819, and in 1840 emigrated to this country with a brother Joseph, whose whereabouts is unknown.  He located first in Summit County, Ohio, and afterward removed to this county in which he lived fourteen months; he then resided in various places until 1852, when he located in Union County.  He now owns 156 acres of good land.  He was married in 1846, to Grace Morrison, who has borne him five children, four of whom are living, viz.: Herman J., Adelia J., deceased, Mary L., Marills G. and Charles 11.  He has served in the capacity of Trustee and Justice of the Peace.  On his land is a magnetic spring which flows continually.
