Robert C. Holycross was the youngest son of Abraham and Hester A. Holycross.  He was born in Allen Township. December 5, 1854.  He was reared a former boy and educated in the common schools. December 24, 1874, he was joined in marriage to Miss Mary, daughter of Nelson and Almira Cooksey.  Mrs. H. was born in Allen Township May 21, 1856.  Their three children are Arthur L., born November 18, 1875; Edgar A., born November 5, 1878, and Grace B. born December 14, 1880.  Mr. Holycross owns sixty-three acres of the old homestead and is engaged in farming.
