The living is a chapelry, forming part of the vicarage of West Alvington, in the incumbency of the Rev. Alfred Erle, M.A., and the patronage of the Dean and Chapter of Salisbury. The tithes were commuted in 1839, the vicarial at £128.4s., and the rectorial at £219.1s. per annum: the Dean and Chapter of Salisbury are the appropriators. The church is a fine ancient edifice, in the Perpendicular style, with a noble embattled tower containing six bells. The Plymouth Brethren have a place of worship here, and the Wesleyans have a small meeting room. There is a National School for children of both sexes. Mrs. Douglass is lady of the manor.
