ORVILLE AND NELLIE VATH

 

NELLIE H VATH (MORGAN)

Nellie H. Vath 76 of Mt. Morris, died Nov. 30 1986 at St. Joseph Hospital, Flint.

Funeral services took place at Rossell Funeral Home, Flushing. Rev.Wayne Perrigan officiated.

Burial occurred at Gracelawn Cemetery, Flint.

Mrs. Vath was born in Flint Oct. 25, 1910 to James and Philadelphia E. Morgan.

She married Orville L. Vath in Flint Nov. 26, 1937.

He preceded her in death Dec. 13, 1985.

Mrs. Vath was a former officer in the Salvation Army, Flint and was organist at Grace Methodist Church for 25 years.

Suvivors include four sons: Eugene Nankervis of Fenton, Richard Vath of Grand Rappids, Barry Vath of Flushing and Gerald Vath of Flushing; two daughters: Faith Cherry of Flushing and Sharyl McCoy of Truman Ark.; 18 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; brother Ernest Morgan of Flint; and many nieces and nephews.

 

ORVILLE LOUIS VATH

Orville Louis Vath (ole), of Mt. Morris, age 73, died Friday, December 13, 1985 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Monday December 16, 1985 at the Rossell Funeral Home. Burial in Gracelawn Cemetery. Visitation 11AM-9PM today.

Mr. Vath was born in Kearney, Nebraska, December 16 1911, the son of Louie and Carrie (Swanson) Vath. He married Nellie Nankervis in Flint, November 26, 1937. He was employed by Palmer Bee Construction Company in Detroit for many years, and then was employed by Buick Moter Division for 15 years retiring in 1974.

Surviving are: wife Nellie; four sons, Eugene Nankervis of Fenton, Richard Vath of Grand Rapids, Barry Vath and Gerald Vath both of Flushing; 2 daughters, Faith Cherry of Flushing, and Sharyl McCoy of Trumann, Arkansas; 18 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Wendell Vath of Nebraska.
