The museum features farm and household items, maps, photographs, early local pottery, paintings, marble display, and objects of local interest in a two-story building with a reading room and exhibition area. The society has a collection of genealogies of early Dorset families. Contact Person: Linda L. French, Curator. Hours and Admission: June - Oct., Wed., Fri., Sat. 10:00 - 5:00; Nov. - May Wed., Fri. 10:00 - 12:00; Sat. 10:00 - 12:00 & 1:00 - 4:00 and by appointment. First floor accessible to the disabled.
