The museum is in a former brick schoolhouse built in 1891. The schoolroom
and several small side rooms contain an indexed collection of 5,000 photographs,
documents, genealogies, household furnishings, early apparel, paintings
by local residents, and farm equipment. The Society's focus is on memorabilia
of Georgia; there are genealogically-relevant files on 250 families of
