The museum is located in a three-story renovated 10-room brick schoolhouse,
built in 1861. Newly installed 18 feet by 14 feet made-to-scale diorama
equipped with lights and sound presents history of northwest corner of
Vermont and St Albans. There are also exhibits concerning the Civil War
raid on St Albans, the Central Vermont Railway, early toys, home and hearth
items, Sterling Weed's musical career, and other items relating to local
history. Contact Persons: Donald J. Miner, Director; Clare B. Sheppard,
Curator. Hours and Admission: open June 15 to October 1 Monday through
Friday 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., other times by appointment. Admission fee $3.00
for adults. Children 14 years and younger free.
