Introduction

My genealogical interest started 1974. About 1986 I used Brother's Keeper (a shareware program) to record my searches. Lately I discovered PAF (freeware). By means of GEDCOM I will be able to migrate my BK-database to PAF.

Brother's Keeper 6.2 can generate HTML-files, and mainly these files has been uploaded to my account at Rootsweb FreePages.

My database contains about 1200 individuals, mostly descendants of Aart Vermaes and Sapinah.

Collecting genealogical data of individuals born in former Dutch East Indies means browsing files of the former Ministry Of Colonies, and POW-files of The International Red Cross. All persons of European origin who stayed in Dutch East Indies during World War II have a POW-file.

Several years ago my son found on the Internet Ernst Carel Vermaas, and Leo Dullaert (son of Wilhelmina Anna (Helma) Vermaes). We are happy to could embed our database in theirs.
