Research Pages on the Rev. Leonard Jenyns (Blomefield) |
Rev Leonard Jenyns (Blomefield)I became interested in Leonard Jenyns when I was a curator of the RLSI in Bath back in the early 1990s, his letters , autobiography and collections led me into the world of Cambridge in the days of Charles Darwin, finding that Jenyns was not well researched I set about the task. Ten years later I had collected so much that publication became impossible. So, I have given talks on Jenyns and his life, contributed to the new book on JenynsI wrote up his entry for the New Dictionary of Biography, and I have visited many of the places he lived, worked and visited - most interesting it all has been! Here are a few pages I created in the 1990s... A British Naturalist, the Rev.
